Spotlight on Our Supplier of the Month: Emme Technology

This month, we’re proud to feature Emme Technology and their impressive range of materials and coatings designed to enhance the performance of Max-Air actuators in virtually any environment.

Max-Air actuators come standard with an anodised aluminium body, making them an ideal choice for general industrial applications. However, for more demanding environments, additional coatings and material options are available to ensure optimal performance and durability.

One such enhancement is an epoxy-coated anodised aluminium body, which provides added protection against low concentrations of caustic washdown solutions—offering improved resistance where standard anodised aluminium may not be adequate.

For environments requiring a higher level of chemical resistance, a nickel-infused coating is available. This option is well-suited for food and sanitary applications, as it can withstand exposure to low to medium concentrations of caustic washdown agents, low alkaline solutions, and detergents.

At the top tier of chemical resistance is the PTFE-coated anodised aluminium option. This advanced coating makes the actuator suitable for marine environments, high-temperature settings, and exposure to low acid and low alkaline solutions.

Beyond anodised aluminium and its coatings, Emme Technology also offers the Max-Air actuator in alternative materials such as Technopolymer and Glass Reinforced Polypropylene (GRPP). Both materials provide excellent resistance to general environmental conditions, with GRPP excelling in environments involving strong acids and alkalis, while Technopolymer offers superior resistance to hydrocarbons, fuels, and organic solvents.

For more demanding environments, Max-Air actuators are also available in full stainless steel construction, delivering exceptional corrosion resistance across a wide range of industrial applications.
